An ordinary man called Johnno....

Many everyday people in the community have a story to tell. They do not look for accolades or feel comfortable receiving complimentary words from anyone, Probably because they do not view themselves as anything but typical saying this is what people do for others. They are right because everyday Joe Blows, are average and ordinary living quiet lives. It takes some energy to find out their story.

From my perspective they are worth a story no matter how small. I like writing about authentic good people.

Let me introduce Johnno, he is single who lives down and around the corner, a man whom we know well enough to chat to as he walks by with his dog Winston. He is a man of few words always giving a thumbs up as he wishes a few people here and there a good day. His dog Winston, the weather and football are his common topics of conversation and one afternoon we heard about how Winston came into his life.

He had a uncle Bob dying of cancer a few years ago. He was the owner of Winston. While Uncle Bob made sure that his couple of adult children would receive his house and money, he made a special trip up to the The Sunshine Coast to ask Johnno a favour. He wanted Johno to take on Winston there and then. Uncle Bob was close to leaving this world and he knew the Johhno was the best person in the family to look after Winston.

Uncle Bob was a very good judge of character. Johnno loves that dog. You can tell a lot about a person on how he/she treats an animal.

Cheers
