Many LG users across the globe have been wondering when LG will put out the Android Oreo update. We've seen indications that it would be November, then end of year, then in February, and then pushed out even further.
But published just a couple days ago is some info from XDA that might just contain the clue: it appears that LG is planning to jump those devices straight to 8.1 rather than 8.0 and then to 8.1. Whether it's because of issues with 8.0 or something else is unclear, but the update should be coming in a matter of weeks now that this announcement was made.
