Ancient Crafts - Stuffer
Among the ancient crafts, we cannot fail to mention the stuffer, that is the one who dedicated himself to the processing of straw and wicker.
By now not a very widespread profession, given the ever more assiduous production of industrial products, it is not difficult to meet these artisans, especially in small villages. The expert hands of the straw maker are able to repair the chairs or make new ones, create baskets of various sizes or containers for demijohns.
Usually they were used for the intertwining branches of olive, willow, or straw, the work was demanding and could last many days, depending on the product to be made.
