So far, three African countries out of the five African teams have been eliminated from this years finals in Russia with one game left to play in the groups stages and its no secret that they have all underperformed.
While we try to understand why this trend of most African teams exiting so early in football world biggest stage,
it is paramount to state that African teams still boast a large number of players plying their trade in the big leagues across Europe and other continents .
