Nigeria is Number 1 on Piracy list – Amaechi

.....Vows that another country would soon take the unenviable position

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Thursday confirmed Nigeria’s unenviable position as first on Piracy list, despite NIMASA’ s orchestrated view to the contrary, and swore that government would soon ensure another country inherits it.

“We are having maritime security challenges. We are currently occupying number one position and we need to quit that position for someone else”, the Minister told a delegation of Singapore’s Senior Minister of State on Trade and Investment on courtesy visit to him in Abuja.
