Altcoin Marathon #25- EOS

I never like investing in things I do not quiet understand. EOS is no exception. Within the past month the crypto market cap landscape I think has changed significantly. Coins / tokens such as ADA and IOTA are now in the top 10. EOS and stellar are in hot pursuit. So EOS is currently 12th in market cap and worth ~61,000 satoshi. There will be 2 billion tokens at final count and currently available in an ICO. ICO ends June 2018. Still got time to buy! To participate in ICO you will need ETH to exchange.

1380 ETH for 2 billion EOS to be exact. Presently there are 664 million out of 1 billion tokens sold. Note that one can only exchange ETH for EOS the two currently are moving at similar % in value. Not always expected as creators of EOS is trying to replace ETH as the king of smart contracts.

EOS creator Dan Larimer also created bitshare and steem. Imagine now why people would be willing to invest in EOS? The potential is there but only time will tell what comes out of it. For now there is enough believers to push the token up $9 and even $10 before yesterday's crash.

EOS by itself is an ETH token hence nothing special about it. As a matter of fact the purchase of the token does one absolutely nothing right now. The holder needs to register there tokens and wait for the June 2018 release of a functional EOS platform. Until then people are really just trading an ERC-20 token. Note no promise platform will be completed by then, just a set date to when registration and ICO ends.

EOS is advertised as a new code for users to perform many more transactions then any other crypto has ever done and have a platform for users to develop their own apps to work within the EOS platform. Transactions have been simulated with fast responses and zero cost in fees. Yet nothing has been tested in the real world yet. A company called block.one is building the software to operate all that is discussed.

This token sounds more like selling a dream then a practical application. Because it is open source people can actually have an opportunity to review what has been posted on github regarding EOS. https://github.com/EOSIO/eos
You can review for yourself and judge whether this is worthy of an investment. I am not a coder but based on what the token is promising and how it has risen in market cap I can suspect this is a crypto to keep an eye on.
