Top Cannabis Social Media Site Will NOT Be Deleting Alex Jones Account

There's at least one social media platform that won’t be banning Alex Jones. BudTrader.com, the self proclaimed largest cannabis social media and networking platform in the world with over 1.5 million users will not be banning any account that controversial Infowars host Alex Jones has on their platform.

This announcement from BudTrader comes in just hours after Apple, Spotify, Facebook, YouTube and Mailchimp all decided to ban Infowars content, and Alex Jones specifically, from their platforms for allegedly sharing “hateful content” to his audience.

BudTrader CEO and tech entrepreneur Brad McLaughlin issued this statement “Much like doctors, BudTrader took a vow to do no harm,” McLaughlin explained. “Denying Alex Jones safe access to medical marijuana could prove to be detrimental to his health. No patient of legal age shall be denied access to medical marijuana on our platform period!”

Due to BudTrader’s strict user confidentiality, McLaughlin could not definitively confirm or deny whether Alex Jones has a profile on BudTrader. The over one-million users of BudTrader.com can message, post and respond to ads and messages for cannabis events, products, services, real estate, jobs and more. When asked about Alex Jones political views McLaughlin responded, “the only politics I discuss is cannabis politics.”

McLaughlin and BudTrader have been involved in their fair share of controversy in the past. In 2017 the cannabis social media platform was infamously ejected from San Diego Comic-Con after throwing a two day yacht party in the harbor less than 200 feet from directly behind the San Diego Convention Center. At the California Cannabis Convention they hired 10 supermodels to give away free hugs and 10,000 pre-rolled joints. However the brand has received praise recently for maturing and organizing a beach clean up, removing nearly 500 pounds of trash from California beaches. They also recently had a puppy adoption at their booth at a industry trade show.

BudTrader.com is the largest online cannabis marketplace, with its platform available in the 29 states where cannabis use is legal, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. With over one-million people registered to their platform. alex jones.jpg
