Hey everyone, welcome to my new post and I hope it's going well and your day has brought some experiences into your lifes! In this article I would like to talk about alchemy and I'm happy if you can learn new things about this interesting topic.
The Philosopher's stone is probably the best-known work that has strongly influenced Western alchemy and it is considered one of the main works and as the name suggests, it is not a stone in this sense, but a mystical substance with which it is possible to transform base metals into gold. Already since the beginning of alchemy it was assumed that there should be a mysterious matter that has supernatural powers and over the centuries the meaning has changed and the name as we know it today has become popular during the Middle Ages and there were some attempts by people who had tried to create the Philosopher's Stone as well as numerous traditions of people who even succeeded. According to the ideas of some alchemists, the Philosopher's stone also has the ability to heal people or even help people to immortality and, in addition to the various interpretations, it was also associated with the spiritual side of alchemy and was also associated with the stage of enlightenment. Even if it is often misunderstood, the Philosopher's stone is particularly often found in old writings and often refers to the spiritual aspects and often appears as a metaphor for it and to be able to understand and exercise the practical work, people first needed this spiritual knowledge. In the sense of the inner alchemy which refers to the transformation to a higher being, the human become a stronger being through different stages and this can also be compared to making something more valuable from base metals and no matter whether it is about the spiritual side or practice, different stages are spoken of which are needed. The Philosopher's stone is also to be considered as a quintessence which is of enormous importance for the transformation process and in mythology, it is described that it is the Roman god of fire as well as the art of blacksmithing Vulcan without which the creation would not be possible and during each work, he is called in the last steps to complete the work and this can also be related to the creation of this mystical substance and according to other views, one would have to travel into the interior of the earth to find the Philosopher's stone and whether it must be considered as something that already sleeps inside someone or must first be produced, it is probably one of the most mysterious topics of Western alchemy.
