Step #1: Download Google Authenticator
You’ll need an app to be able to incorporate 2FA in your account, and Google Authenticator is the best and only 2FA available to players. Whether you’re using an iOS or Android smartphone, just search for the app and follow the instructions.
Step #2: Go to the account settings page.
You will immediately be shown a 2FA box on the page. Unless you’re a new user, then you’ll have to provide a username and password on the accounts page before the 2FA pops up.
Step #3: Pair your device 2FA
At the bottom section of the 2FA block you’ll see the 2FA button, and click on it. This will generate a QR code which you will scan using your device to pair your Nitrogen account with the Google Authenticator. Or, you can input a code found above the QR code to pair your account with your 2FA app.
Step #4: Activate 2FA
Google Authenticator (or a similar 2FA app) will then provide you with a 6-digit key. Go back to Nitrogen Sports, and under the accounts page, enter the code in the “One Time Password” (OTP) field located below the QR code.
Click the “Confirm OTP” button and you’re done! Once you see “Two-Factor Authentication Enabled”, you have successfully added an extra layer of security to your Nitrogen Sports account.
With two-factor authentication enabled, each login will now require a code from your Google Authenticator, as well as a username and password. It’s an extra step you’ll have to go through each time you login to Nitrogen Sports, but it’s something we recommend to eliminate any doubt as to the integrity of your account.
