Sunday Hike: Silvermines Waterfall, Cape Town, South Africa

Morning hike mission with the mister and the little miss. Wanted to do Silvermines Circular Dam walk but we didn't have cash on us and they don't take card machines at the gate. This nature reserve is one of the few in Cape Town that don't take card payments. No need to fus we headed to the waterfall hike instead.

Highlights

Easy short walk perfect for all fitness levels and ages. Just challenging enough to get some stretch in those legs.

Starts off flat on a well-laid jeep track. Weather was a bit overcast, perfect mountain weather.

A short downhill which translates to a bit of an uphil on the way back!

Lovely spots at the waterfall to chill or even have a quick bite. Perfect for a little picnic.

Kiddo was mesmerised by the waterfall. Also pretty content in her new backpack carrier.

Some ladders and ramps to get to the lower waterfall, where the good picnic spots are.

Look at the pretty flowers

Spring is here so everything is pretty and green. Lots of flowers in beautiful shades.

We planned to venture a little bit further through the reserves but the wind picked up and the little miss is already snotty.

Hope you all had a #sublimesunday

Much Love, Mimismartypants
