Just starting out on Steemit ... Introducing myself: A.C. The Program Director aka El Choppo - HipHopPhilosophy.com

My passion is finding and sharing all of the great music the radio won't play ...

Founder at HipHopPhilosophy.com (The original “HipHop is not on the Radio...” tee-shirts) and member of the LA Breakers est.1982, born in Stanton, California on March 22, 1973. Son of blues guitarist Steve Harper, exposed to a world of different musical styles & realities, I collected rock records & listened to pop-radio (Mighty 690) in the 70's, before finding HipHop in the summer of 1981 (when it was mostly electro-funk). At age 8, breakin' and poppin' at the Boys & Girls Club. In 1983, religiously recorded tapes from the original KDAY HipHop radio show “Saturday Night Fresh” by Uncle Jamm's Army. My love for good-new music with extraordinarily high standards evolved into evolving into a radio resource for all the good-new music the radio won't play. Which eventually evolved into making new original music.

Based in Los Angeles, HipHopPhilosophy.com is a unique record store, art gallery, radio station, record label & clothing line created in 2000. The online radio station is one-of-a-kind because we only plays music we never played before.

HipHopPhilosophy.com was the first to book the following artists for shows in Los Angeles: Ed OG, Percee P, Jedi Mind Tricks, People Under The Stairs, J Zone, MF Doom, Celph-Titled, Louis Logic, Apathy, Cormega, Edan, Insight, Count Bass D, Wise Intelligent and Dooley O, to name a few.
