The process of making all the handicrafts of Acehnese embroidery is almost the same. Where basically divided into 3 stages. The first stage of a craftsman prepares the necessary materials such as; foam, cardboard, velvet and others. Next to all the material will be prepared for the sewing in the desired shape, for example to make a purse, wallet or prayer mat. The sewing process is done with a sewing machine in general. 
In the second stage of artisans sewing embroidery in the form of flowers or other. At this stage will greatly affect the quality of good or not a product produced. High sense of art and the cautiousness of a craftsman becomes a determinant of whether or not a good product is produced.
Then at the stage of finishing or the last stage of the bag, wallet or cloth prayer rugs will be in perfect shape by putting the rope, buttons or so forth according to the order. Usually to the 3 stages above done by different people. For the first and second stage done by one person but at the finishing stage done by others again.
