Choose Philippines!

Yes, it is the official tag line of the Department of Tourism to attract and invite foreigners to come and visit the island. Aside from the beautiful beaches, there are also interesting places to visit.

If you want to go ghost hunting, I recommend you to visit these places:

MANILA CITY HALL

Manila city hall was originally built in 1901. After how many decades, the wooden structure had fallen into decay. To save from deterioration, it was demolished and was replaced with a new one.

It became an eye witness to World War II. It is considered as the one of most bombarded places in Manila during that time. Along with its historical background, the present employees of this government office are somewhat being taken back to the old times when the clock strikes at 6pm. According to them, they hear whispers, footsteps, and chain rattles in the hallway.

Also, when being viewed from the top, the architectural design of the building is like a coffin with a cross in it. I do not know if it is just a mere coincidence but it's like (as for me) symbolizes something spooky - sort of burying the people inside alive. Creepy!

OZONE DISCO CLUB

Ozone Disco Club was one of the most famous clubs in Quezon City in 1990's. Teens and young adults usually go there to have some fun. Who does not like parties, right? Unfortunately, on March 18, 1996 at 11:35pm (Philippine standard time), the worst fire in the Philippine history began. Reports say that sparks are seen flying in the DJ's booth. Moments later, there was smoke. Thinking that it was part of the party's plan, it was too late for the party goers to realize that it will be the scariest nightmares of their lives.

After the incident, the burnt bodies were discovered in the corridor of the only exit door, trapped and piled waist high.

Ozone Disco fire is considered to be one of the worst nightclub fire in the world with a total of 162 deaths leaving 95 casualties.

This story scares me to go to a nightclub. Jeez!

Neighbors of the said building say that they hear music from the burnt disco house with the people cheering, bottles smashing, and shadows of people dancing inside the abandoned club.

Looks like the fun never stopped, ayt?

DIPLOMAT HOTEL, BAGUIO

The Diplomat Hotel located in Dominican Hill Baguio is the one of most popular haunted spots in the Philippines. It was originally built as a rest house and a seminary in 1911 but then developed to a school, lastly to a hotel.

It is commonly featured in the magazines and in the television for its goose-bumping view and horror story.

People living in the area said that at night, they will hear banging of doors and windows, screeches of women and children, and clattering of dishes.

During the World War II, numerous nuns and priests were mercilessly beheaded here. There were also a massacre of children done in the fountain. No wonder why the spirits of the victims cry in echoes. Thinking about it gives me chills!

I have also read that the place was also burnt in fire with numbers of guests and employees trapped inside the hotel.

Some also shared that there were countless suicides of employees with no apparent reason. A nurse who used to work in the hotel jumped off from the rooftop where the cross is situated.

There were also unexplained deaths since then.

Would you like to check in to this hotel? Huuu. No, not me.
