Good morning, Summoners. This is @zusi78 wishing you all a happy weekend.
I am posting this so that one or more of you might suggest or give a hint on what I should have done with my deck selection to defeat Eagle Libre—the one I lost to in this epic battle. I won’t only share my wins; there are losses as well, and this is one of them.
I received another Pit Challenge invitation to face the fighter bosses. There are three bosses: Easy, Normal, and Hard. I defeated the Easy boss (Al the Mountain) and the Normal boss (The Big Leronski), but I lost to the Hard boss, Eagle Libre. The screenshot as are shown above.
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥
This particular Eagle Libre I faced has only two abilities: Void Armor and Affliction, along with a +10 melee attack, Speed 3, Armor 17, and Health 83. Massive stats, I must admit. Because of its Void Armor, my deck had to break through the armor before any damage could reach its health.
As usual, the total mana cost was 99. I was allowed to choose units from all elements, and the ruleset was Standard (no changes to the game mechanics).
In the end, this was the lineup I used. Deep down I knew I had made mistakes in my selection, and as a result I lost the battle
A sad loss. But that’s the beauty of the game — win or lose, there’s always something new to learn.
After the battle, I told myself I should have maybe used Scales of Justice as the tank because of its Dodge ability. The boss only attacks once before it gets its turn again, so a miss from Scales of Justice would have been a big plus. Just saying.
Fellow warriors, the link is above. In a situation like this, and with those boss abilities, what should I have done better? Drop your suggestions in the comments.
