Nephket: The Shadow That Always Arrives

This season in Modern Ranked I sit at Diamond III with a rating of 2,940.I will say it plainly and without hesitation: that position would not exist without one card.Nephket.

She is the only dual-attack, dual-element monster in my entire deck, and she has been the single most consistent force behind every climb, every recovery, and every hard-fought win that brought me here. I have used her for more than nine months — roughly eighteen seasons — and I know her inside and out. I know what she represents on the board and what she has come to mean in my own play.

Let me tell you a story of her:When the invasion is already through the gates and the heat is rising, she is the one who appears. When allies start to buckle, she is the one who arrives at the exact moment it matters. With Sneak she slips past the front line. With Stun she freezes key threats so they lose entire turns. With Knock Out she turns those stunned targets into devastating double-damage opportunities. Low health and no armor never stopped her from flipping battles that looked lost. She is fragile by design because she was never meant to stand and trade. She was meant to decide which enemies get to act and which ones simply stop.

I could easily write more than two thousand words about her alone — her dual Life/Water identity, the predatory precision of her kit, the countless times she has carried teams that had no business winning. But the shortest and most honest statement is this: Nephket has my full and permanent vote of confidence.
Even if I leave the game for months and come back rusty, she is still the first name I will call. She has earned that place.
Diamond III at 2,940 is not just a rank. It is proof.

In this battle I won’t bore you with too many screenshots. I’ll just pick a few where she was doing her thing so you can appreciate her even more.My opponent came fully prepared with a Lvl 3 summoner,Dragonlord and 99% Magic attack lineup that consist of Portia Nyr, Calamity and Songole.With a wild unit as well.

Portia Nyr was the first victim under Nephket radar and she didn't survive.

Calamity was next.And down till the end there was no comeback.
