I stumbled upon this game that I had been hearing about for a long time, but I had never actually started my virtual music career. A couple of days ago I began playing on risingstargame.com and I am really getting hooked.
Fortunately, even though it is currently undergoing a revamp, the game is fully accessible for screen readers used by visually impaired players. My hope — and here I am making a small public appeal to the developers — is that it stays exactly this way after the redesign. If accessibility is maintained in the future, I will definitely write a special guide dedicated to blind players.
But let's get into the game!
First steps
I started just a very short time ago and I have managed to complete around fifty missions. Right now I am at level 5, but I hope to progress through the game pretty quickly. Being a newbie, I don't know all the tricks of the trade yet; I am currently reading through various guides, trying to understand the mechanics and the right steps to build a solid career in the Rising Star music world.
Next steps: looking for advice!
I am undecided on how to continue my journey, and this is where I need your help, since many of you are experienced players. In your opinion, is it better to start by investing in Fans cards, Instruments cards, or by purchasing a Pizza Box?
For now, I am accumulating the Starbits earned from missions (I have about 500). The road ahead is still long, but I want to plan my adventure as best as I can.
High praise for the Radio
I want to congratulate the artists whose music accompanies the game: I have found some truly outstanding songs!
Unfortunately, when it comes to my screen reader, the background audio is not ideal. As soon as I log in, I have to pause the radio, start the mission, and then turn the radio back on. If it stays active, I can't navigate the site properly because the sounds overlap and I struggle to hear the text-to-speech.
I read that the music featured is actually created by users who play Rising Star. Whether they are professionals or just music lovers, the quality is remarkably high. As a former bass player, I have heard some really interesting tracks!
Time to go now, I am off to start another mission! See you in-game.

Mi sono imbattuto in questo gioco di cui sentivo parlare da molto tempo, ma non avevo ancora mai intrapreso la mia carriera da musicista virtuale. Da un paio di giorni ho iniziato a giocare su risingstargame.com e mi sto appassionando parecchio.
Fortunatamente, anche se è attualmente in fase di ristrutturazione, il gioco è pienamente accessibile per il lettore di schermo (screen reader) utilizzato dai giocatori non vedenti. La speranza — e qui faccio un piccolo appello pubblico agli sviluppatori — è che dopo il restyling rimanga esattamente così. Se l'accessibilità verrà mantenuta anche in futuro, provvederò sicuramente a scrivere una guida speciale dedicata ai giocatori non vedenti.
Ma passiamo al gioco!
I primi passi
Sono partito da pochissimo e sarò riuscito a compiere una cinquantina di missioni. Ora mi ritrovo al livello 5, ma spero di crescere abbastanza velocemente. Essendo un novizio non conosco ancora tutti i trucchi del mestiere; mi sto informando tra le varie guide, cercando di capire le dinamiche e i passi corretti per costruire una buona carriera nel mondo musicale di Rising Star.

Sono indeciso su come continuare il mio percorso e qui chiedo il vostro aiuto, visto che molti di voi sono giocatori esperti. Secondo voi è meglio iniziare investendo sulle carte Fans, sulle carte Strumenti (Instruments) o acquistando una Pizza Box?
Per ora sto accumulando gli Starbits guadagnati dalle missioni (ne ho circa 500). La strada è ancora lunga, ma voglio pianificare al meglio la mia avventura.
Note di merito per la Radio
Voglio fare i miei complimenti agli artisti che accompagnano il gioco: ho trovato delle canzoni veramente eccezionali!
Purtroppo, per il mio lettore di schermo, l'audio di fondo non è il massimo: appena accedo devo mettere in pausa la radio, avviare la missione e poi riattivarla. Se resta attiva non riesco a navigare bene sul sito, perché i suoni si confondono e faccio fatica a sentire la sintesi vocale.
Ho letto che la musica proposta è creata proprio dagli utenti che giocano a Rising Star. Che siano professionisti o semplici amanti della musica, il livello è veramente alto. Da ex bassista, ho ascoltato dei pezzi davvero interessanti!
