Ahh yess, the famous R2D2 classic. Who doesn't like its twiwitt twit twitttwtit twi sounds it makes. It's one of the iconic droids in Starwars and one of the beloved by fans. I've decided to do this piece for all the fans out there and because personally, this is my favourite character in the Starwars series. I spent about 2 hours for this piece and if you want to grab your hands on this collectible limited edition NFT piece, I will be selling them soon. Without further ado, I present to you R2D2 Classic.

Pixel Progress

Creating the outline, shape and frame of the character is of the utmost importance. This is because every character have their very distinct features and silhouette. Even if it's in the dark, we are able to trace out and identify the character easily. These are what makes the character unique. So I started out the outline of the R2D2 shape. It's body, head and legs are the key features.

Painting & Assets

After that, I started my painting process and adding assets and detailing to the model. Making sure even though it's in voxels, you can still identify some of its movie similarities like it's red laser detector, and its eye piece. Overall I had fun doing this piece.
