I support the idea (thanks for your great work), but that means only that money will, again, become more important than strategy. With my strategies I was able to go to Champion II. With your new system, I would be sent to Diamond 3 although I'm a very very old player who did my best since day 1 and I just don't have any money to spend or huge luck to win highly valuable cards everyday.
An addition to answer some replies I just read:
Don't tell me that I just have to work and win money so as to spend it there. I can't, and I wasn't born rich. I'm a student, and I DON'T have money to give. And I gave already a lot to the game through the money I earned from 0 HERE, on Steem and now Hive.
We already have 50 bots fighting, day and night, and nobody does anything about that, as well as the bug which prevent anyone from reading the quest lodge levels. Now, you will take back my ability to win cards which I won because I had an old strategy and great alpha/beta cards since the beginning of the game.
The actual system is sufficient, at least for high leagues. It leaves me a chance of fighting, a chance of winning by luck or strategy ! With the new system, I won't be able to do that anymore; I will win less cards which will lead to me having less cards which will lead to me having less "Power" which will lead to me having to wait months/years to come back to Champion if I'm lucky. And during that time, everyone will have plenty of time to win huge amounts of cards by money and rewards, and a lot of players will beat me.
Doing this is reducing the impact of a good strategy drastically.
Sorry for this little message; I agree with the "pay2win", it's necessary. But there should be a way for any player to get to champion without paying tons of money ; by strategy or even luck.
Splinterlands is a wonderful game which I love, and I respect every decision which has to be made. I just think the team deserves every opinion.
Thanks again for all your great work everyday on this wonderful game and ecosystem.
Bye,
@zonguin
