Not sure why this needs P2SH instead of P2PKH when miners can decide to fork for any reason. The claim is that v0.5.3 code (or earlier) in bitcoin interprets P2SH as "pay to anyone". As a programmer I have a hard time visualizing how one can strip out payments on the blockchain based upon the string beginning with either a "3" or "bc" (segwit) vs a "1" without violating the integrity of the hashes, but I'm thinking that this isn't necessary at all and may be a red herring.
