As PO have the right to edit there requests when they please (and they should be able to) we as contributors have a hard time keeping up with the changes they make. In the past I had PO close tasks because they found what they needed. Therefore I was still creating even though it was no longer needed. This issue makes it so the contributor can no longer earn a upvote and did not know to stop and redirect his or here efforts towards a project that needed it.
Therefore I propose a solution.
A button in every request that you can click as a contributor to let the project owner know you are working on something for him or here. In that way if there are changes made the contributor can be notified. This notification can be done every time there is a change in the topic meaning that if the PO decides to make a alteration he knows that people who are working for him get the necessary info.
I conclude that this will require some extra fields in the database and that a contributor on utopian will need to share a notification email or a discord username or something similar. Maybe a notification if they enter the utopian site in a sort of pop up.
I believe that this could help with a lot of frustrations in the past and future.
