Last month I saw something totally unexpected. A dog gave a little kitten some milk to drink. Although this may not seem like much, the kitten wasn’t the dogs own. It must have become lost from its mother and likely would have been hungry. However, the dog allowed the kitten to drink the milk.
I’m not sure why the kitten was around the dog but either it had been searching for its mother or it had just wandered there. Either way, it had found someone who was going to look after it.
I watched them for a while and was absolutely delighted. The dog was completely fine with the little kitten and allowed it to happily drink the milk. It was amazing to watch a dog give milk to a kitten that wasn’t their own. Although animals can do some unexpected things, it was surprising to see this in real life.
There are often times when people will say that dogs and cats aren’t friendly with each other. They might chase each other, fight or just avoid each other. However, this was the opposite. A small kitten was relying on the dog for food and the dog didn’t turn it away.
I began to wonder if the dog had her own puppies. Maybe she was already feeding them and the kitten had got mixed up with them. I’m unsure what the actual story was but I would love to know how they had come together. Hopefully the kitten has found its mother or stayed somewhere safe.
The best thing about this was that it looked very natural. The dog wasn’t trying to gain any attention. No-one told her to give the kitten milk and she wasn’t expecting anything in return.
Whilst some people may not think this is a huge deal, I loved watching this. We often expect people to be kind but animals can be very surprising. They don’t need to understand what we are saying to show they care.
Although I didn’t have an amazing experience, I was delighted to see these two together. This was the most memorable thing I saw last month out of all the random things. I think I will remember this little kitten having a drink of milk from a dog for a while. It was so unexpected and I would love more people to see moments like this. Because why not? This makes us realize many things and may change our opinion about lots of things. I think anything is possible and we don't believe it until it happens for real. When I told my friends about it they did not believe me because they never saw or heard about it. Anyway, it's not going to change the reality that it actually happened, hehe.
I think I'm lucky because I was able to witness it with my own eyes. So, maybe next time I'll record it when I see something like this lol and even then people may call it ai hehe.
