I have never been one to think how many things I can do on my own as opposed to seeking help from someone else. I can usually just do whatever's easiest without a second thought. When I'm bored at home, I like to do fun things to pass time, like play Splinterlands or Hivegrove it just keeps me entertained. I can't say that I'm good at everything but sometimes when I am free I try to be productive and I like to learn things from online which could come in handy in the future. Like you never know when it's time, right?

Something that I do by myself often is altering my study notes. I sometimes make mistakes or forget to write down things. Instead of doing it whole over again, I can just use sticky notes to write the things I missed. I also like to put pretty paper on the covers of my notebooks and doodling on it. I don't know why I do that I just don't want to feel bored but yeah it does make my school stuff more lively.

I havwe also been learning to do things like first aid. Like what if my mom or dad injured themselves at home and if I don't know anything how would I help them out. I'm still not good at it, but I can think I can handle it when the situation will arrive.

Making coffee and food for myself is also something I like to do. Sometimes, when I want it a specific way, I like to experiment with different ingredients in different combinations. I like looking up easy recipes and altering them so that I can use what we have at home. I may not always succeed, but it's fun to try new things. I usually do it when I'm not in a rush as I'm not really fond of making breakfast in the middle of rushing in the morning.

I also like to keep my personal pictures and files tidy. I delete any extra photos I have, or organize my files so that it's easier to find them when I need to. It may not seem like much, but this helps me a lot because I can avoid wasting time searching for them later.

There are, of course, also things that I can't do by myself that require professional help. I wouldn't really attempt to do major things like repairing a washing machine, or dealing with electricity. I think it's best to know your limits and not try to do things you have no experience with.

I like doing these things because they're all things that I can incorporate into my everyday life. I may not always be in the mood or have the motivation to do them, and I often procrastinate because of it. Hehe. But it's nice to have these little skills so I'm able to do them myself instead of relying on other people.

I think I'll continue to grow in these skills as I get older. It'd also be nice to learn to cook more meals properly, and to be able to sew better. I don't necessarily need to be a master at everything, but just having the basics to be self-sufficient enough is a goal of mine. That's what doing things yourself is all about, isn't it?
