Hello people of the Splinterlands community! A brand new season started today and I am kicking things off with some absolutely insane momentum! I am ready for the grind. So, here am I sharing another exciting battle with you all today. My journey was not that fruitful but I'm not someone who would give up easily. Well, every match is a lesson for me and I always try to learn from my mistakes. This season hopefully I can do something better than before. Even if I lose constantly, I feel I'm getting closer to success. In my previous matches I have only used Aurelia as my summoner, so this time I wanted to do something different. Today's battle was a high-mana match. Let’s dive right into it!
Before starting the match, I spun the wheel for my daily rewards and my luck was really good today! As you can see I have managed to secure a massive +1,000 Sparks along with a sweet +100 Bonus Sparks! And I have never got such big rewards before.
It's been a long time, I kept using Aurelia as my summoner and for that reason it was predictable for my opponents to win against me. I did not know that people can see the cards I've used previously but the moment I discovered that option, then I thought that I should change my summoner. In a while, I started the match, I was facing a massive 73 Mana Cap match! this match had a Standard as always and no excess restrictions.
With 73 mana at my disposal, I had the freedom to bring out some truly heavy-hitting cards. One card I shouldn't have added which I regretted anyway, the team setup was good, costing 46 out of the 73 mana limit. I didn't pick all of the high mana cards, because I felt the cards that I have chosen is perfect against my opponents.
Summoner: Thalgrimore (-1 health of all enemies )
Monsters:
My opponent, brought a good team, they were using Incessant Sage summoner, I think people who knows how to use it they can perform really well with this summoner. But looking closely at the battlefield setup, In first few seconds I could tell how it was going to end. Because my opponent was dealing with lots of damage, they were unable to tackle any attacks. To be honest, my opponent was not using the team they used in the last match, so I made a team without thinking about what they used. Eventually, they walked right into my trap which I did not plan for. Choosing Thalgrimore as my summoner was the best decision to disrupt their strategy from the very start. His global debuff shaved -1 Health off every single one of their monsters right out of the gate.
Next my Sorrow Harvester brought its signature Weaken ability into play, stripping away their health pool like that completely neutralized the typical defensive survivability of a Life setup! On the battlefield, my positioning worked flawlessly. The card I regretted using was Savage Butcher it was not doing anything, so it felt useless. If it was a strong team against me then I would have lost it long ago. My other cards chipped away at their formation, resulting in a brilliantly executed, clean victory
In the end, the win earned my daily rewards. I opened up my chest and pulled a fantastic Twice Yester Knight card! It's an incredible addition to my collection. Sadly, I have dropped from Bronze II to Bronze III. But no worries I will surely level up once again. It's just that I'm still learning so, sometime I make mistakes.
Splinterlands is so much more than just playing strong cards; it's a game which is played with strategy and even at low leagues you will face difficult opponents. So, don't lose hope even if it's not going well. Keep trying! See you all in the next arena!
