It was the most pleasant way to spend last warm summer days, and to recover (even a little) after one and half year of living in a war. It's not just about a location, although it does matter. I could relax because my husband was with me, and other "my people".😊 Actually, I arranged all this because he deserved a rest, and badly needed it probably more than I.
Our 1-week vacation with a wedding, and finished with a wedding.😁 And I am going to write a more detailed post about it.
In meanwhile, my hubby and I spent 5 wonderful days in our favorite place in mountain village on the west of Ukraine. It is very expensive, but the host gave a very good price (discount) for Nick as a serviceman of AF. I am sooo gratefull, and hope to have a chance to thank him when the war is over.
This was our first vacation in year that I spent surroumded with woods and mountains and not climbing any peaks. Maybe it's tiredness, or old age?
Of course, Sonia was with us. She was so happy to get out of a noisy and always busy city.
I must confess, we were also busy.
Waiting for the sun rising above the top of trees in the morning.
Watcbing the hibiscus bloom...
Relaxing on the hayloft and remembering the aromas of my childhood.
Swinging to dizziness on each of 3 swings.
Reading books on the sofa under a warm plaid...
Or by a fireplace.
Watching clouds...
Reflection of clouds...
Other reflections...
Picking mushrooms.
Coocking mushrooms.
[They vanished before I could think of taking picture 😬😬😬]
Paying attention to details and composition.
Watch the grass grows, and apples fall...
Untill the sun goes down into the woods and add pink tint to clouds.
And also walking, listening to the bees and crickets, watching birds and butterflies, fishing, drinking wine...
And sleeping! Here, I could finally sleep as if there is no single worry in the whole world.
On days like this, I wish I could quit my job and just live like this.
But... yeap. Not possible, not now. So today me, my hubby and Sonia I are on our way home. Back to Kyiv. But in my thoughts, I am still there in a wooden house by a small quiet lake, under the deep blue sky... 😇💙💛
