Serena – you are SFA (super fuckin' awesome) and AHTB (absolutely hilarious to boot.) Ain't it special how a photo can trigger such reverie? It's why I do what I do. ;)

In fact, the second iteration of my photo business was called 'The Memory Jars'. I loved the double entendre; my photos are both vessels that collect/carry memories and triggers that, jar them – like a gentle shake to loosen the dust of time. (That sounds terribly cheesy, doesn't it? Ooops.)

Here's one of my fave pics of my own grandmother's backyard, taken the last time I saw her alive. It helps me remember how it felt to be there. <3
