Pizza my best gift
Pizza is definitely my favorite food, so getting it as a gift always makes me smile.My mummy and daddy know me so well that they are always surprising me with pizzas on special occasions and I am always loving it.
For my last birthday, I came home from school to find two big pepperoni pizzas from my favorite place waiting. Mom, dad and my little sister jumped out yelling "Surprise!" We turned on a movie and ate pizza together as a family. It was the perfect birthday treat I had for that day .
When I got good grades at the end of the last school year, dad brought home a meat lover's pizza to celebrate. He told me how proud he was and let me stay up late gaming and munching that tasty pizza. Those are the kinds of yummy rewards that make me want to keep working hard in school and parents know that.
After I scored my first soccer goal during a big game, mom had a hot cheesy pizza delivered to the field. My teammates were so jealous because no one is doing that to them! That gooey deliciousness tasted even better after the winning game although I still end up giving it to my friends too. Mom always knows how to make moments more fun.
On lazy Sundays when we are all home, sometimes dad will suggest getting pizza delivered for dinner. We will eat leisurely in our pajamas while watching a funny movie on TV. Those cozy family nights with pizza are the best way to end a weekend.
When I am feeling under the weather, mom will make homemade pizza pockets to help me feel better. The melted cheese and soft dough always hit the spot. Her cooking fills me up when I am sick.
During the holidays, we get special holiday-shaped pizzas. The Christmas tree and pumpkin shaped pepperoni pizzas look so cool. Pizza just makes any family gathering feel more festive.
Even on hectic school nights, if I have had a tiring day, dad will pick up a pizza so I don't have to wait to eat. He knows how cranky I get when I'm hungry after sports practice!
I am so grateful my parents know me well enough to get me the perfect pick-me-up gift - pizza! Whether it is to celebrate an accomplishment or just brighten my day, cheesy gooey pizza always does the trick. It is the tastiest way to say "I love you!”
When I landed the lead role in the school play, my mom rewarded me with a decadent meat lover's pizza after opening night. She knew how hard I had prepared for that role and that gooey, savory pizza was the best treat.
In the mornings before big games, my dad will make me breakfast pizza loaded up with eggs, bacon and peppers to fuel me up. Then after we win, he takes the whole team out for victory pizza parties!
During finals week when I'm pulling late study nights, my sister will bring me a cheesy garlic bread pizza from our favorite local spot. She says the brain food will help me ace my exams. It definitely hits the spot!
On lazy Sundays when we stay in our pjs binge watching movies, mom will order us specialty pizzas like barbecue chicken or Hawaiian to snack on all day. Lounging with pizza makes family time so fun.
When I'm feeling under the weather, grandma will make her homemade pizza soup loaded with veggies, chicken, pasta and gooey melted cheese to get me back on my feet. Her cooking always makes me feel so loved.
Even on rushed school nights, dad knows pizza is the quickest way to put a smile on my face. He'll grab us pepperoni pies on the way home so I can refuel fast and in the tastiest way.
I am so grateful that my family knows pizza is my ultimate comfort food. Whether it is to celebrate, comfort or just because, cheesy pizza always makes my day! I have got the best pizza-loving family a girl could ask for.
