Bueno, dicho en lenguaje sencillo, son verdades que no pueden ser refutadas. Y sí, existen; independientemente de la cultura, la religión, la clase social, en fin... la cosmovisión. Por ejemplo, piense en esta declaración: > **El agua es vida.** ¿Alguien puede contradecir esa afirmación? Lo dudo. Palabras más, palabras menos, está demostrado que eso es una verdad absoluta. Ningún ser humano puede vivir o existir sin agua. Ahora piense en lo siguiente: > **Exponerse sin protección a la radiación prolongada es mortal.** ¿Se puede demostrar lo contrario? Independientemente de la procedencia de una persona cualquiera, tenga el dinero que tenga, sea de la raza que sea, o piense como piense, si se expone sin protección durante mucho tiempo a material radiactivo lo más seguro es que muera poco después. Nada podría evitarlo. Ahora considere lo siguiente: > **Todo lo que sube, tiene que bajar.** Esta es una definición muy elemental de la ley de la gravedad. ¿Es posible demostrar lo contrario? ¿Puede acaso una persona lanzarse desde el último piso de un rascacielos y esperar quedarse suspendida en el aire indefinidamente sin más equipo ni protección que la ropa? Absurdo. Difícilmente, por no decir imposible. Estas verdades son las que orientan al ser humano para entender cómo funciona su entorno, saber qué hacer, dónde hacerlo y cómo hacerlo, así como tomar sus precauciones, según sea el caso. Comprenderlos es la única manera de entender este libro en su contexto sin rayar en interpretaciones equivocadas. ¿Cómo identificar los principios fundamentales de los llamados "textos sagrados" sin morir en el intento? Analicemos algunas de esas verdades absolutas de naturaleza humana que permiten entender la esencia universal del texto bíblico. Considere lo siguiente: > **Todo lo que en esta vida se hace, en esta vida se paga.** Es una especie de proverbio popular que va más allá de la nacionalidad, la raza, la posición social, la cultura y hasta la religión. Es una verdad de consenso social. Todas nuestras acciones tienen una consecuencia; tarde o temprano estas nos alcanzan. Incluso he sabido de ateos que lo confirman. Muchas culturas y civilizaciones dan por sentado el principio de la siembra y la cosecha. ¿Se puede vivir enteramente en paz rompiendo el equilibrio de la convivencia mutua? ¿Es posible para cualquiera gozar de una buena reputación cuando con sus acciones demuestra poco valor por otros o que busca aprovecharse de los demás? # ___ ![](https://i.ecency.com/DQmaqoi1vaNHwgKfwVV1eiChbqHbWy1LRNnmLBSN2wije6q/1779491870739.jpg) *Todo lo que el hombre siembre, es lo que cosechará/Relación causa:efecto. Si tiene al alcance una Biblia —también puede apoyarse en una edición en línea— ubíquese en el libro de Proverbios, capítulo 11, versículo 31. Una traducción en lenguaje sencillo lo vierte así: >*"Está claro: si en la tierra el justo recibe lo que se merece, ¡cuánto más el malvado y el pecador!"* **(TNM)** # ### El factor de las desigualdades económicas En la Biblia encontramos consejos y razonamientos lógicos que permiten responder muchas inquietudes existenciales. Pensemos en un aspecto de la vida cotidiana que es muy sentido para todo ser humano en cualquier sociedad: **las desigualdades económicas**. Una pregunta moderna y muy recurrentes es: ¿Por qué es cada vez más difícil mantener una calidad de vida acorde con un ingreso monetario que lo permita? Resulta necesario, en un mundo cambiante y dinámico como el que vivimos, el uso del dinero como parte intrínseca de nuestra cotidianidad. Pero por desgracia, contemplamos impotentes cómo alrededor de todo el mundo la brecha económica entre un porcentaje muy reducido de personas más ricas y la otra mayoría más desfavorecida y pobre es desproporcionadamente gigantesca. Aunque los analistas financieros pudieran responder con elaboradas explicaciones sobre la volatilidad del mercado y el alza y caída de las bolsas de valores, así como también los porcentajes de inflación que varían con el tiempo en cada país, ¿cuál es el motor de fondo o la raíz que suele mover todo ese desequilibrio? Para comprender cómo la codicia es la raíz de tal desproporción, piense en que no todos los poderosos son filántropos dedicados. Well, to put it simply, they are truths that cannot be refuted. And yes, they exist; regardless of culture, religion, social class, in short... one’s worldview. For example, consider this statement: > **Water is life.** Can anyone contradict that statement? I doubt it. One way or another, it has been proven that this is an absolute truth. No human being can live or exist without water. Now think about the following: > **Unprotected exposure to prolonged radiation is fatal.** Can the opposite be proven? Regardless of a person’s background, however much money they have, whatever their race, or whatever their beliefs, if they are exposed unprotected to radioactive material for a long time, they will most likely die shortly afterwards. Nothing could prevent it. Now consider the following: > **What goes up must come down.** This is a very basic definition of the law of gravity. Is it possible to prove otherwise? Can a person jump from the top floor of a skyscraper and expect to remain suspended in the air indefinitely with no equipment or protection other than their clothes? Absurd. Highly unlikely, if not impossible. These truths are what guide human beings to understand how their environment works, to know what to do, where to do it and how to do it, as well as to take the necessary precautions, as the case may be. Understanding them is the only way to comprehend this book in its context without straying into misinterpretations. How can one identify the fundamental principles of the so-called ‘sacred texts’ without dying in the attempt? Let us analyse some of these absolute truths of human nature that allow us to understand the universal essence of the biblical text. Consider the following: > **Everything done in this life is repaid in this life.** It is a kind of popular proverb that transcends nationality, race, social status, culture and even religion. It is a truth of social consensus. All our actions have consequences; sooner or later, they catch up with us. I have even heard of atheists who confirm this. Many cultures and civilisations take the principle of sowing and reaping for granted. Can one live entirely in peace whilst upsetting the balance of mutual coexistence? Let us consider an aspect of daily life that is deeply felt by every human being in any society: **economic inequality**. A common question in modern times is: Why is it becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a standard of living commensurate with one’s income? In a changing and dynamic world such as the one we live in, the use of money is an intrinsic part of our daily lives. But unfortunately, we watch helplessly as, all over the world, the economic gap between a very small percentage of the wealthiest people and the rest of the population—the disadvantaged and the poor—is disproportionately vast. Although financial analysts might respond with elaborate explanations about market volatility and the rise and fall of stock markets, as well as inflation rates that vary over time in each country, what is the underlying driving force or root cause that usually fuels all this imbalance? To understand how greed is the root of such disproportion, consider that not all the powerful are dedicated philanthropists.
