Apple has just hired "John Giannandrea" Google’s former Chief of Search & Artificial Intelligence who helped made Google Assistant.
John Giannandrea will now be running the Apple's machine learning and artificial intelligence strategy. He will directly be reporting to Mr. Tim Cook (Apple's CEO) and becomes the top 16 executives of the company.
Mr. Tim Cook (Apple's CEO) has said,
John Giannandrea has helped integrate Artificial Intelligence through many Google products as well as Internet Search, Gmail and Google Assistant.
This is a huge victory for Apple as they had struggled with their artificial intelligence business against their rival Google Assistant. Since artificial intelligence is on the rise these days, it is pivotal for tech giants to stay closely connected and Apple is bound to improve thanks to Mr. Giannandrea.
