Weddings are celebrated with great fanfare in our area. Many more rituals are performed. When a boy has to get married, the boy's parents start looking for a girl for him. The boy's parents first see a girl in their family. That is, the daughter of an aunt or the daughter of an uncle, etc. If there is no girl in the family then the boy's parents look for a girl in their community. That is, a distant relative. If no girl is found in the community, then the parents contact the Marriage Burro. Finding a girl is so difficult because the parents want the girl to be the same age as the boy or a little younger. Education should be the same. This means that if the boy has a master's degree, then the girl must also be at least a graduate. If the boy's job is good then a little beautiful girl is sought for him because the girl's parents also see that if the boy's job is good then their daughter will be happy.

When a suitable girl is found, then boy's parents go to meet the girl's parents and see the girl. If they like the girl and the girl's family, then they invite the girl's parents to come to their house. Then the girl's parents come to the boy's house and see the boy and the boy's house. If the both families like each other then the girl and the boy go to the hotel together for tea one day where they see each other and talk to each other. If they like each other, then the boys and its relatives go to the house of the girl to get engaged and the date of marriage is also fixed there.

On the day of the engagement, the groom gives the bride a gold ring, a dress and some money as a gift. The groom's relatives take sweets with them and the bride's family arranges tea.

The Mehandi ritual is performed at night. The groom's relatives put Mehandi on the plates and put candles between the Mehandi and go to the bride's house. There the groom and the bride are seated together and Mehandi is applied on their heads with mustard oil.

In some places, groom perform henna ritual separately in their homes and bride perform it separately in their homes. For example, a bride is seated wearing a yellow dress and then her relatives come one by one and apply henna and mustard oil on her head. There is a basket lying in front of the bride and some money is put in it.

On Barat , the groom wears a sherwani and a qula on his head and the bride wears a lehenga. This ritual is performed during the day. When the groom comes ready, his relatives give him necklaces of notes. Then, before leaving the house, they break a glass vessel at his feet So as to be protected from the evil eye. Then the groom's family goes to the bride's house playing drums. groom and bride get married there. After that everyone eats. And then the groom come home with the bride. After that all the women of the neighborhood come to see the bride. Then all relatives back to their houses. Groom and bride goes to their bed room.
