After taking a longer break, for personal reasoms, from Hive, I recently found my way back.
One of the things that got me back into the Hive ecosystem was Splinterlands. I started playing again and, while browsing around the different projects and games on Hive, I stumbled across something new, at leasr for me ;) :
A game called LIMITLESS.
And since I have always found these little Hive gaming projects interesting, I decided to give it a try.
So, what is LIMITLESS?
In a nutshell, LIMITLESS is a mining and NFT game built around the Hive ecosystem.
The basic idea is pretty simple: you acquire NFT miners, equip them and let them mine different tokens. Depending on the NFTs you use, you can earn LIMITLESS and potentially other tokens such as STARBITS, SWAP.HIVE or HASHSCORE.
But there is a little more to it than simply putting some NFTs into a mining slot and waiting.
There are different NFTs, stats, durability, upgrades and, more recently, Expeditions. With expeditions you can send a tool NFT to a land plot for a certain amount of time. Depending on the plot and your equipment, you can earn tokens and potentially even get an NFT drop.
So there is already a bit of a game loop developing around the mining mechanics. And that's actually what caught my interest.
Let's see where this goes. At the moment, I have put a few HIVE into the game and have started letting my miners do their thing.
I'm deliberately not going to call this a review yet. I'm still figuring things out myself. I am currently collecting some experience with the mining mechanics and have only just started looking into the Expedition system. Maybe I'll even get lucky and see an NFT drop. For now, I'm mainly interested in seeing how the game develops and whether there is actually some interesting strategy behind the different NFTs, miners and expeditions. Because let's be honest: these games are always a bit more interesting once you start digging into the mechanics. And I haven't done that yet.

I think those questions are much more useful after actually playing the game for a while rather than trying to judge it after a few days.
So for now, consider this my first impression rather than a review.
