I've heard that steemmonsters will launch dark energy crystals tokens which will be the native currency of the steemmonsters. So the use cases of these tokens will be :using dec to pay tournament entry fees, trade them on the steemengine dex, spend them to get upvote from steemmonsters. It looks like that if you could get upvote from steemmonsters using diacord bot now you have to earn dec tokens to convert them to upvotes. I don't know if it'll happen or not but it sounds interesting
