THE RIGHTEOUS ARE BOLD
“For god has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
As a child of God, being death to the natural human flesh, and given a new spirit through the death and resurrection of Christ. God had given to us a new spirit, and this spirit is that of power and love, not a spirit of fear.
Proverbs 28:1 further reiterates that, “the righteous are bold as a lion”. As born again Christians, there is a supernatural power at work in your life which produces divine courage and boldness. Despite the challenges you have faced in the past years till date, you will surely attest to the fact that others in your situation or similar situation had succumbed to them; but you went through it all with boldness and courage. It is neither your power nor perfect calculations that gave you victory; it is the Lord, who had not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind. A sound mind not to go defeated, but a sound mind to overlook the circumstances around you and still stand.
Characters in the Bible such as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who displayed outstanding boldness against their king Nebuchadnezzar never cease to amaze me. They flunked the king’s orders even at the risk of being thrown into a fiery furnace. Their boldness emanated from their trust and belief in the only sovereign God, who created the heavens and the earth. Even when they were thrown into the fiery furnace, a fourth man appeared unto them in the lake of fire and they were not burnt,
The righteous are bold and the enemy can do nothing about it. Do not live in fear over life’s challenges, for in every situation, God is with you. As He appeared to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fuming fire, He shall appear unto you in your times of distress. Be an encouragement to others as you advance the kingdom through supernatural force. Spread the Gospel of Jesus with boldness and the reward of obedience shall be yours to inherit

I am not ordinary, for the spirit of God is working in my life, producing boldness and divine confidence as I surge through the path of life.
