So far so good! This is my best Anime digital sketch.
I know I haven't been doing a lot of anime sketches but the few I have done, this one happen to be my best for now.
I didn't know how it would turn out but I just started sketching and when I was done I was like Wow and thanks to the so many reactions from friends, to confirm it was good if not perfect.
I love it myself but I didn't know how much others would like it too so I was very pleased with the reactions I got when I posted it on my status and the positive responses from people makes me wanna do more and get even better.
You know it's a great feeling when you get positive responses and feedback from people. It's a form of encouragement on its own and makes you wanna strive more and do better each time.
This is how I felt yesterday and now I won't stop.
Thanks for all the lovely comments about my artwork.
So here, I will share the processes of my work.
Here is a place I give every detail about what I do and how I finally arrived at the awesome piece.
Not to worry, I've got it all covered. See the work process below.
Work Process
Step 1
This seems like the easiest step for everyone that sketches especially if you have a reference of what you are sketching or trying to sketch.
Step 2
The difficult stage has just begun. Not so difficult though, just filling in the colors of different parts.
I started with her skin using a fitting color for it.
Step 3
And then I went further to color her dress but only the top with black color.
Step 4
Again, I went ahead to choose a nice and not too sharp blue color for her trouser which is almost hidden.
Step 5
Here is when I had her hair covered by choosing a matching color for it. I chose a lighter brown earlier but when I noticed it was too outstanding I had to change it to something darker.
Step 6
I fixed her eyes ball, eyebrow, lashes, lips. This is the very first time I am fixing those parts almost lastly.
I usually do it immediately I am done with the face and skin, so I don't know what happened this time around but I am still glad it didn't ruin anything for me.
Step 7
Obviously, here I changed the background color. This is a different kind of work or stress on its own because most times when trying to change the background color, some parts of the body cut out especially the edges of the artwork so it will take another time to smoothen those edges and make the background color blend well.
I would have rather left it with white background to avoid that stress but I couldn't because her dress was white already and it didn't go well with the white background so I just had to go through the stress of changing it.
Step 8
After successfully changing the background color, I introduced the highlights and shadow shading on her hair, face, skin, and even her dresses.
This helps make the work a little bit realistic.
And that finishes my evidence of the work process.
I really do hope you guys like it as well.
I am very open to constructive criticism.
And of course, feedback to better help me know which area I need to work on.
Thank you for your time.
I appreciate every comment, upvote, and reblog on this post.
It's still your prospective artist girl ;)
