I wanna use this scenario first; In a relationship between a man and a woman who say or assume they are in love, watch you will notice that either one or the both parties are always giving. It might not really be money or material things, but one thing or the other will always be given, either their time, energy, effort, resources, and many other sacrifices.
In another insignificant and untruthful way; many offer sex, their bodies all in the name of love and proving love.
This is not right, but I wanted to use different scenarios good or bad to show you that loves implies giving.
Now let's see the truth from the scripture:
John 3:16
For God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In the above bible verse, we can see that God's love proved Giving. He LOVED the world, as such He GAVE.
Something was given up, a sacrifice was made.
God's love wasn't a mere jamboree, he loved us to the point of giving us his precious son Jesus Christ.
Love Implies Giving.!
- Who do you love?
- What thing have you offered to the one you love?
- How do you know you love the one you claim you love?
If one truly loves, he or she gives. If you say you love the Lord, yet your body, resources, energy and even your money is not for him or given to Him, then you're just blaspheming the name of the one you say you love.
Love demands giving; giving your time, your energy, your life, your money, your intellect and everything to the one true person you love.
And if you love the Lord, then give him your all, the things you treasure the most.
If you truly LOVE the Lord then GIVING will not be a very difficult thing for you to do.
