Personally, arguments are draining for me, it's not something I take delight in doing, especially if the opponent is someone quite older than me and more advanced in all ramifications.
I believe I wouldn't make a good lawyer or barrister cause I might likely make my client lose a case (just saying).
I immediately lock up and push things under the carpet if it leads to prolonging arguments, whether positive or negative argument. I am not just a fan of dragging and exchanging words with people, it gets me easily upset and annoyed. So to save me from the stress, I let things be or slide.
I feel the more arguments are being prolonged, the more upset I get so just to keep calm with my sanity, I let things be most times. And what normally leads to heated arguments is when someone or a party is trying to prove their point. It's when one wants people to see and understand things from their perspectives, ideas, and ideology.
Some arguments are convincing when one is trying to force things, their beliefs, ideas, and opinions on people.
Whichever way it may appear or be, no matter how coated it looks, I am not a fan of so many things and arguments are one of them. If I must argue about a thing then I must be on the winning team and it's not something I take pleasure in doing especially with people that tends to appear all perfect.
Just like I stated above that most arguments are just to prove a point or be heard and not exactly to win a case. It's like couples having a misunderstanding and fighting over an argument, truth is that that most times, one of the partners just wants to voice what he or she has in mind, he or she just wants to make a point, to be heard. It's like letting his or her ideas and ideologies about a particular subject matter play out without being misunderstood.
And because one of them isn't ready to listen or pay attention to these ideas, it can lead to heated arguments which sometimes isn't always a good thing cause it doesn't bring positive results.
If some things can't be talked over without it leading to heated arguments, then I will say one shouldn't partake in such communication or conversation, trust me you wouldn't like whatever would unfold along the line.
Let's learn to settle disputes and talk over things without turning them into heated arguments.
