Aww this is such a sweet ending! The twist of having them listen to a conversation while in the costume was really creative, and the visual of a clumsy dragon sneaking in to listen was fun. I love how you had John value his friendship with Carl, smelly dragon suit and all. It’s the small victories that count, and it was nice to see John have one!
Also, I really like the picture you chose, I can totally imagine that at the entrance to the park 🐉
