Yes you haven't red wrong. I switched from Linux to Windows. I can't complain about it. (almost) everything worked flawless in Windows (except a view BSoDs), but why did I switched back to Linux?
I knew Linux before I knew what an OS is. My Father used it since the 90s. So he Installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on my first Laptop almost 6 years ago. It was an old laptop with a dual core and 2 GB of RAM. The Laptop was horrible, so I couldn't do anything with it. I wanted to play games with it. I tried to get them working. Sometimes it worked, but most of the time they didn't start. Most of the games needed a newer version of OpenGL. I blamed Ubuntu for it, but it was my old hardware that doesn't support a newer version of OpenGL. After 5 years I still was a Linux noob.
About 1 1/2 years ago I got a new PC with windows pre-installed. It's not the best, but it can run games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order or Just Cause 4. This was a huge upgrade from my laptop.
As I said before everything worked flawless but there were a few things that annoyed me too:
About a month ago I installed Manjaro Kde Plasma edition on my machine. I don't realy know, why i switched back to Linux. There were a few things, that liked on Linux and doesn't like on Windows. The terminal for exemple.
Manjaro is faster than Windows (who could've thought about it). Plasma is highly customizable too. Because Manjaro is based on Arch, it is very similar to Arch. For example, you can use the AUR or Pacman.
