What damage these tools (in their current state) are doing to people in their most formative years is what concerns me. Even more concerning is the evolution of those tools and what they will become very quickly. But that is another post.

The "try harder" skill we all developed to overcome adversity is hopefully not waning for the current younger generations. It will take strong parenting to push through that only on an individual level but that sometimes feels like trying boiling the ocean.

I like to think that I am creative and hard-working enough to make things happen and I use some AI tools to help out with that. Doesn't replace all the old school stuff like jamming with the band, designing by hand and connecting with people in all the ways I can. Probably a slippery slope in the wrong direction if I am considering the risk.

Anyhow, cynicism is much easier than dedication and perserverence so I am just trying to balance it all out in the face of it all.
