Good day everyone, trust you all having a good day. It's Zee-tunes here again today with an article differentiating between Muslim schools and Christian schools. I'll be saying a big shout-out to sludlung@sludlung for tipping me up on this particular write-up.
Before talking about the differences between the Christian Schools and Muslim schools, it's important to know the differences between the two religions involved that is (Christianity and Islam).
This should be easy for me to talk about due to the fact that I'm one who has experienced both sides of the religion. There is not much of a difference between the two religion, just that Christians believe that Jesus was the incarnated Son of God, divine, and sinless. Islam teaches that Jesus was one of the most important prophets of God, but not the Son of God, not divine, and not part of the Trinity. Rather, Muslims believe the creation of Jesus was similar to the creation of Adam.
There are a lot of similarities between Islam and Christianity but I believe people need to be educated more on things like this. People have created a lot of superstitious beliefs about the both religions due to things they've heard without bothering to know more about them. Some people believe the two religions to be quite opposing to each other, meanwhile they're just created for the same goal and objective.
Onto the main topic, some of the superstitious beliefs shouldn't be allowed to have an impact on a child's education. Some people would never allow their kids as Muslims to attend Christian schools and some Christians too would do same thing.Meanwhile, we all serve one God.
An Islamic school would definitely render the same quality of education such as a Christian school. The only aspects where there can be difference can be the modes of dressing. Some Islamic doctrines requires you as a lady to put on an Hijab while this doesn't apply to a Christian. The main aims and objectives of the both schools should be to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical developments of students at the school and of society and also to prepare students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
These points listed above should be the main motives of schools and not creating some sort of enmity amongst students based on their religious backgrounds and differences.
Another difference between the Christian and Islamic schools is the mode and system in which they pray.
In Islam, one important role in their prayers is that they pray every new hour. This is not a rule imposed on students of an Islamic school but it's usually being carried out by the elderlies and they try to make the younger ones inculcate the habit of doing it so as for them to stick to it when they grow up while in a Christian school, after the General assembly, they only partake in prayers when they are in classes before eating and for the closing hours.
Also, on the style of prayers, Muslims go through various purification rites before saying their prayers. The purification rites includes them washing of their hands, ears, legs, mouths to purify themselves of every impurities they've come across before each prayer session.
In Islamic schools, they make sure the students get accustomed to these rites as Muslims.
While in Christianity, they don't necessarily go through any rite before making their prayers. Most Christians just close their eyes and say their prayers, this also is instilled into Christian students and make it a part of them.
In conclusion, the aim and objective is not to create any form of enmity or rivalry between the two religions because the main reason behind the creation of the two religions is to serve one God and put our beliefs in him either Christianity or Islam, no amount of superstitious and made-up beliefs should be allowed to influence the education of the children in their various schools either Islamic or Christianity.
