In the deep jungles of Amonkaar grows a most furtive and sought-after plant. Large dark green fronds and an intoxicating smell, the coffee tree of Amonkaar produces some of the highest quality coffee ever tasted in Eden. Discovered in the 23rd century by explorer Iola ferch Rhodri, the first brewed cup granted her such vigour and strength that without any further magical intervention she lived twenty years longer than the oldest previously living human.
The tree only grows in the fertile and blessed grounds of the jungle, nestled amongst a variety of aggressive flora and fauna. Each time one is discovered, its beans have either been used to grant the discoverer near immortality or sold to human Kings and Queens for more wealth than ten thousand men would ever need.
The current Queen of Vyrex Grove is the last known consumer of Amonkaar Coffee, living a lifespan comparable to the oldest of elf-kind, currently 872 years of age. Her long life has allowed her to bring camaraderie with other magical races: the elves of Ferimaan consider her an honorary elf; and the dwarfs of Mount Stonescar consider her and her peoples a trusted ally. Unlike the other human kingdoms in the area, whose short lives lead to constant political chaos, aggression and shifting borders, Vyrex Grove has seen unprecedented stability and soft diplomatic power.
