Summer is almost done but here in our place, seems summer still on the go as many people still have escapade. I wanna show you the paradise that is kinda known in our place. I visited it once after my partner's graduation. And I do hope to go back there during my partner's vacation after the school year together with our son. This blog is my experience having a summer escapade with my partner when we're not yet married.

White sand? Want to have tan skin? Then, let's go to CANIGAO ISLAND...
CANIGAO ISLAND
This island is located in Matalom, Leyte, Philippines. One of the beautiful tourist spot in our province. Many people like to visit in this island not only during summer.
For now, the island is currently in recovery stage due to the effect of the Typhoon Odette last December 2021. But still, the place is breath taking just like before. A little time and it will recover just how it all started.
They're now again open and accept tourist. But there are things needs to follow especially that we are still in pandemic state though not like the last two years.
So, what are the things you need to know and prepare when planning on going to the island? There were changes now since it's pandemic, so I'll put it here the things need to prepare.

---Vaccination card for those who are fully vaccinated.

--Adult (40.00Pesos or almost $1)
--Senior (30.00Pesos or $0.60)
--Children (20.00Pesos or $0.25)
*Boat Fare
---2,500.00Pesos or $50 (Day tour and overnight, 25pax)
--80.00pesos or $1.60 for excess
*Cottage
---Day tour (500.00Pesos or $10)
---Overnight (700.00Pesoa or $14)
---Room (1,500.00 or $30)
---Space Rental for tent.(100.00Pesos or $2)
Going there
When we visit the place, we used google map since we don't knew the route. Though many of my friends told us that it's easy going there through riding a bus or a van. Since we were riding a motorcycle that time and will just meet with our friends, we decided to asked google map.
It took us 2 hours for us to arrived in Matalom, Leyte port. We directly went to the pier, where we going to ride a boat.And our friends were already there and paid for the boat fare,cottage and entrance. We also add for the space for our tents since we didn't get a room.
We traveled 20 minutes from the port to the island. I am scared riding a boat but glad that I able to conquer my fear. And my fear vanished when I saw how beautiful the island is.
When we arrived at the island. We prepared everything especially the food. While some of our friends prepared the food, some of us also roamed the island to see the accomodities. As you can see, some part of the island in the picture is cloudy like it rain and some also were sunny because each captured area were located opposite to each other. That time, I was nervous thinking that the rain in the right side will went to the island and will rain hard, but glad that Mr.Sun shines bright. We able to enjoy the day eating food and swimming in the beach.
We didn't wore any swimsuit since we're all shy wearing such. We just wear shirt and shorts. But that didn't hindrance us to enjoy swimming. Aytt, no, I didn't swim coz I don't knew how haha, I just enjoyed my eyes looking around how beautiful the island is. I like to go to the back of the island but my friends didn't want to go coz they're afraid and aside from that, the area at the back have lots of rocks.
When I can't take the heat of the sun anymore, I decided to go back to the cottage and get my towel. I roam around and saw that there is a henna stall. So, if you like to have henna you can go there. I forgot to asked how much is the henna, maybe because I am not interested to have hihi.
We did an overnight in the island. Actually, the circle I am with are my partner's classmates. Some of them are my friends and some are not. But I still enjoyed the night with them as I watched them playing games.
Sad coz I don't have nice phone that time and can't capture beautiful picture. I just asked Hanna, my friend to pass me some picture that time to my phone so that I have something to post. Well, that's before. That's why this pictures are all gathered in my album on facebook. I already have invested good phone now that's why I am excited to go back there and capture the beauty of the island on my own.
The next day, we still have enjoyed the day and we assured that we brought our things especially the waste from our food packs. Though there's trash bin in the island, it's better to bring our waste so that the administrator of the island won't have any problem if the tourists and responsible with their things and won't leave any problem in the island.
We then decided to go home around 10am in the morning since the boat came to gather the tourists who had done overnight.
This is me and my partner. As you can see, we already wearing jeans because we were waiting already for the boat that time. And of course, since we were going to ride motorcycle, we need to wear jeans and jacket. It's a protection from the heat of the sun while traveling home.
