Thanks for visiting my blog! All of these photos were taken in manual mode on a Nikon D5000 SLR. I was vising a local marsh on the most beautiful day nearing the end of summer. This marsh is very large and well kept, there is an entrance fee to get in that helps pay for the staff to maintain the premise. I think the fee is worth it, everything is kept safe and preserved.
I was supposed to meet a friend here today, but they stood me up. I was overjoyed, I get to do this by myself now!
I try not to think too hard when picking a direction to go in. At Wye Marsh you cannot go wrong, unless you cross a Trumpeter Swan. . .
By merely walking a few hundred feet you enter into slightly different ecosystems. It was much more damp here with the nearby creek, which changed all the colours in the environment to be slightly different.
Using manual I try to focus at the height of the Suns shine as the clouds whisk in front of its rays.
I decided to take a selfie, it's definitely not my forte!
I also stop to admire and photograph striking and rare colours found in nature!
A park entrance fee helps preserve the quality of trails like this one, which enables everyone to visit, including those who are immobile.
This little guy was tricky to photograph in manual, my shadow kept spooking him! It took me a few tries but I eventually got a decent photograph!
