$8/month verification may be nothing for developed countries but for third world country it is a handsome amount. In our home land currency, worth of $8 is around Rs 2,160. The amount is enough to pay basic internet package for one month. This reveals that buying monthly subscription is not good for the people who don't afford to pay fee.
People who are in the favor of introducing monthly subcritpion verfication believe that Musk is trying to do something big for the microblogging platform and the introduction of monthly subscription will help to generate better ecosystem for the platform which will be beneficial for the community.
It is too early to say that the outcome of introducing monthly subscription fee but we are lucky to have first decentralized platform Leo Thread which is offering free of charge service to its user.
