Hey Bees! What's up!
How are you all doing? I am sure everyone is fine and kicking 馃榿
So there is something about sketching that I wanna improve on. I know I love sketching as well, but I have a problem making an image look like the original, exact figure 馃槄
I know I am not the only one that has this issue so I won't be surprised.
The sketch I made today wasn't any different but something tells me I have tried being it a digital work.
So my first portrait is that of my wonder lady 馃 I call her wonder lady for reasons I don't even know myself 馃き Well, I guess because of the warm welcome I received from her when I first joined hive. And yes, she is a coffee lover, if she ever goes on a tour or something related, she is sure gonna grab a cup of coffee 馃構
I used her as my first model, I know it didn't come out great but it isn't really bad either, or is it? I will leave you to be the judge of this lol and please remember it's my first portrait so don't expect much cause I didn't expect much myself
The model is no other than @discoveringarni, co-founder of the Architecture & Design Community
If you haven't come across that name before then maybe you should check her out, she is a very cool lady and I like her personality.
The portrait is her footer image and though it's not as great as the image, I still chose her as my first model.
I will show you a few processes of the work.
Step 1
The first step was the outline of the image. I sketched out the outlined
Step 2
Then I filled in the colors and started my painting. Started with the black blouse.
Step 3
And then her skin and hair and other parts of the body that needed paints.
Step 4
And finally, everything was done here, all the colors well blended and outline hidden.
She had a wide smile in that footer image but at the end of my sketch, I noticed I shortened her smile 馃き馃槄 too bad, I made her smile less and I agree it's my bad, will do better next time lol.
That is all for my first human portrait. I hope to continue sketching regularly to improve and be better someday.
Anyway, thank you for visiting my blog today, I appreciate it.
