A fire incident occurred in Sheikh Manda QESCO Grid station here in Quetta, Pakistan due to which major power blackout being observed since last couple of days. The incident occurred on the evening of 16th of Nov, 2021 and complete grid was on fire in a matter of minutes. All HT lines and panels in the power room were completely under fire and nothing left to restore power immediately. I took few pictures of the incident sharing below.
Due to major damage after the incident, the authorities have yet not been able to get the power restored even after two days of time. As per latest updates, the power of the city will hopefully be restored back tonight anytime soon. We have been suffering badly due to this major power breakdown in the history of the city as it never happened before in such a way tha power is completely blacked out for two complete days.
However, we appreciate the hard work and efforts of the authorities 24/7 to restore power of the city and hope that power will be restored anytime soon and our lives will be back to normal. I was wondering about stone age people and our ancestors who were obliged to live without the blessing of electricity without which we cannot even live for a couple of days. Hats off to them!
