The songs of deep ocean whales can now be heard on the Internet, scientists are able to understand the acronyms of whales with the help of ordinary people.
Whales call each other with different sounds. The variety of their voices, the tune of their music, the marine scientists have been trying to understand its meaning for many years.
Ian Boyd, chief of the Marine Mammals Research Center at St. Andrews University in Scotland, is researching the records of whales. he says:
quoteWe can see different types of words in these animals. If you hear these words for a long time, you will feel as if they are playing with their voices. You will hear many different kinds of words in their call. The voice of their voice is much more than the human voice. What they can do with this voice is very surprising.
Scientists have so far recorded more than fifteen posts of whales, which they now upload on a website. The purpose is to take help of common people to understand the mysterious language of the whales by hearing these thousands of calls.
Scientists could use computers in this work, why not do such an entrepreneurial initiative?
Ian Boyd says the computer does not really work too much in this case. The computer has nothing to do with the ears and the human eye to find patterns in anything.
