Human exploitation of the ocean has reduced the bio-mass and bio-productivity 70% in the last 100 years alone, in no small part due to NOISE POLLUTION, which now pervades large swaths of the most productive zones.
We have poisoned the seas with our sewage, agricultural runoff, and industrial waste. We have over-fished both the oceans and the rivers that connect the soil to the oceans, and there is no "green" propulsion for our ships.
Ocean mining accelerates these trends, increasing noise and poisonous wastes of undersea mining. We need to kill the mining and burning mineral based economy, and re-birth civilization based on what can be grown - the only true GREEN is literal, photo-synthesis of all that we need.
