I like the uniqueness of the Sanctum, it gives a big open field to think about possibilities, it just sparks a lot of ideas.

About the Plaguelord. Yeah, I agree it is hard to imagine how to balance this one but I would go in the line of thinking that this card needs to survive multiple turns for me to serve its purpose. So a bigger health pool would be needed. And since the average stats on 6 mana are around 10 stats area, I would consider something like a 2/8, 3/7. Or go in the other direction and leave it as a 1/6 and add Backline as a form of extra protection.
