He has not yet (technically speaking) a year, but Discord (the popular communications application) has a streaming service available for its premium members. However, there have been some problems. Simply put, nobody is using it.
It may have something to do with the fact that people did not know him or knew him and completely forgot that he existed!
As such, although not necessarily as surprising, Discord has announced that next month, the Nitro Gaming subscription service will close.
The subscription package costs $ 10 a month and basically offered the use of Discord ‘premium’ which also included a fairly good game library. However, compared to other services, they were very few. In addition to that, Discord has openly admitted that despite the fact that people have access to the games through the premium subscription, almost no one was using them.
As such, on October 15, the Nitro platform will officially close. However, they will maintain the subscription service, and focus on some alternative advantages.
What are they offering in replacement?
Well, even though the game subscription service is discarded, Discord hopes to add some new features. With that they hope to keep the users. The news will arrive with a much better quality for streaming, in addition, the option to transfer files up to 100 MB in size between users. With, of course, some other adjustments and minor advantages.
However, if they made the subscription only for the games, they can request a refund.
