It was one of those nights without electricity—something happening all too often these days; that’s the unfortunate part. Power outages in my country are becoming more frequent and prolonged by the day.
Despite these power-related setbacks, we didn't let the unfortunate circumstances get us down; instead, we tried to look at the brighter side of things. As the night grew darker—with the moon having disappeared—a light drizzle began to fall, and the air turned cooler. One thing was certain: a night without electricity promised to be cool and mosquito-free—which was the best part.
Around 10 PM, lightning began to strike, accompanied by alarming thunder. There were still people out on the street; the drizzle had stopped, but the lightning was illuminating the sky majestically. I grabbed my phone and decided to record this wonderful spectacle. My children were excited, as they rarely get to see a sky lit up by lightning bolts striking so amazingly against the dark, ominous backdrop. I am almost certain a heavy storm was hitting somewhere else in the city. I spent a memorable time with my children watching this magnificent spectacle of nature; we had no electricity, yet we enjoyed a moment of leisure and family joy.

Saludos amigos de Hive y de la Comunidad de la Aldea Coreana es un placer muy grato estar aquí y compartir con ustedes un momento memorable y a la vez desafortunado, era una de estas noches que no teníamos electricidad como comúnmente está ocurriendo en estos días, esa es la parte desafortunada. Los cortes eléctricos en mi país son cada días más frecuentes y más prolongados.
A pesar de estos contratiempos eléctricos no nos dejamos vencer por estas circunstancias desafortunadas y tratamos de ver la parte menos dramática. Cuando ya la noche se hacía aún más oscura debido a que la luna desapareció, empezó a lloviznar y el clima se hice más fresco, algo si era seguro la noche sin electricidad prometía ser fresca y sin zancudos, era la mejor parte.
Casi a las 10 pm de la noche, empezaron a caer unos rayos y se escuchaban truenos muy alarmantes, aun había personas en la calle, había dejado de lloviznar pero los rayos iluminaban de una manera majestuosa el cielo. Agarré mi teléfono y decidí grabar ese maravilloso espectáculo. Mis hijos estaban emocionados porque muy pocas veces ven un cielo iluminado por los rayos que caían de manera asombrosa de ese cielo oscuro y tenebroso, estoy casi segura que en algún lugar de la ciudad estaba cayendo una gran tormenta.
Pasé un momento memorable con mis hijos observando este grandioso espectáculo de la naturaleza, no teníamos electricidad pero sin embargo, tuvimos un momento de esparcimiento y alegría en familia.
